Mickie has been wood working for 20 years and carving for the past 14. His carvings include birds (mostly owls, raptors and shore birds), and large rocking horses. He is a past recipient for ribbons for his carvings at the Ward World Competition in Ocean City, Maryland. His wife Mavis designs and paints whimsical and one of a kind fireplace screens. She also designs and creates bird feeders using natural gourds which are carved, stained and varnished. Both are willing to do personalized commissions. They can be reached by phone or email.
